FAQs

For colleges and Porto employers alike
How are employers chosen?
Visited and vetted before any student is placed, and re-checked before each cohort. We check supervision capacity, health and safety, and, above all, the quality of work students will actually be given.
What does a student's day look like?
A real working day shaped to their course: prep shifts in kitchens, project work in studios, supervised support in care settings, with our coordinator checking in and evenings free for the city.
Do students need to speak Portuguese?
No. Workplace mentors operate in English, and navigating an international workplace is part of the learning. A basic phrase induction is included in the welcome day.
We're a Porto employer. Can we host students?
We'd love to hear from you. Hosting brings motivated extra hands and international connections, and we handle the paperwork, insurance and supervision framework with you.
